    Waves, Western Australia's largest surf/street retailer is a rapidly expanding business. With 10 stores and a team of over 150 amazing people, Waves is the most successful retailer of surf, street and skate brands in Western Australia.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to assist the VM team to plan, co-ordinate & develop the visual merchandising of Western Australia's largest surf fashion retailer.

    The VM Assistant will be part of a visual merchandising team of two and will assist in implementing VM standards across the company by overseeing a number of stores in the Perth region.

    The successful candidate will: 
    • Implement planned promotions
    • Communicate between store level and Head Office
    • Motivate and train staff at store level, provide VM solutions and advise 
    • Adapt ideas to different situations, forward plan and conceptualise
    • React quickly and effectively to sales, delivery's and changing stock levels
    • Design and implement window displays as required
    • Assist with new store openings 

    Ideally, to be considered for this position you are already in a similar role or have at least three years fashion retail experience. Formal VM qualifications preferred. You should demonstrate a proven ability to work independently, be capable of mentoring and training colleagues, posses excellent time management skills and display well developed problem solving ability with strong attention to detail. Applicants must have an ability to work in a fast paced store environment, excellent verbal / written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and an intermediate level of computer knowledge.
